Events by Pictures!

Lest I forget, last week held few events that I documented and wanted to share.

My sister’s 22nd Birthday!
We enjoyed lunch at the Deli on 5th.

Relay for Life (Jackson)
Our sweet little team did a wonderful job raising money and relaying! Our team name was “Captain Planet and The Planeteers”. I can not begin to tell you how honored I was to be apart of something this awesome. It was amazing to see people come together in the name of power and healing and I encourage you to get involved with your local Relay for Life! I look forward to doing it again next year!

Throwback to the Nanney Family!
Old pictures I found while getting my physical in my Dad’s office;)
I must have been about 3 years old in this pic;)
 Family Portrait circa 1993??
My first marathon! Blue Angels--Pensacola, FL 2000

And there you have it! I enjoy leading a full life today;) Hope you all enjoyed the pics!

Is It Thursday Yet?

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and is well rested for this dreary, sad, and foggy Monday morning!
(note sarcasm please)

This morning I struggled to get out of bed. More than I have struggled in a long time.

Nothing a few cups of joe's won’t fix, however;)

This weekend was pretty awesome.

I got to eat yet another birthday dinner with my dear friend, Cleve.

We ate at Fratesi's...it's a little hole in the wall Italian place and it is AMAZING. I highly recommend you try it if you haven't.

Saturday, the weather was uber-amazing. I was on a euphoric natural high all freakin’ day.
I ran 7 miles.

WOOT!

And didn’t do a bit of school.

Infact, lately, I think I’ve been going through a mini-crisis in which I have no desire to do anything I’m supposed to do.

This could be classified as a major case of the “Fu*&-its”.

On Saturday, I thought about joining the Peace Corps (once again) and just going. Going and going and going and going....you get the gist;)

But, I didn’t. I went to a benefit at Hal & Mal’s for Northern Uganda and rocked my socks off.
Yesterday evening I held my first team meeting for Relay for Life. My team rocks! So far I have about 12 people!

We decided on our team name….

The Planeteers!
(from Captain Planet).

Our goal is to raise $3,000.00 by April 29th.

So, if you want to donate……..;)

And now on to my ever-full half week because Thursday,

We leave for NEW ORLEANS!

Yoga workshop with non-other than my yoga teacher, Scotta Brady,

Shopping on Magazine St,

Vegan Restaurants galore,

I’m ready!

at last

Today was a happy day for me.

I broke my fast.

I lasted for 12 days. Actually 11and ¾. But who’s counting;)

I made a very expensive trip to Rainbow Whole Foods after yoga this afternoon and purchased a lot of organic produce. And some other yummy things as well. Including the much dreamt of Almond Butter;)

I then came home and juiced my little heart out. I borrowed my Mother's Champion Juicer, which is what I grew up with, and I absolutely love it!

Carrots, Beets, and Apple.

And then Carrots, Beets, and Celery, and Ginger!

And then my tummy started to growl.

And I gave in.

That Almond butter has been calling my name for days now! I got a little carried away and ended up eating 2 whole apples dipped in Almond butter and then home-made granola I bought at Rainbow. I might have over-done it but boy it tasted good!

Although this cleanse was a little harder than the others I’ve done, it was well worth it. I have glowing skin, am more grounded and aware of my surroundings (boy, are all my senses heightened!) and best yet, my jeans fit again. Hooray!!

On another note, I started my Physics class today. Looks like it’s going to be a doozy. Lots of studying will commence shortly.

And I started up a team for Relay For Life 2011!!! So, If you are interested in being a part of my team or just donating a little of your money, please let me know! Any amount will be appreciated!

Other than that,

Happy Hump Day, Bloggers!
